AI does the tedium.

AUSTRALIAN
AWS PARTNER
REMOTE · GLOBAL

Australian founded. Globally staffed. Senior only.

Perun Engineering is an Australian consulting practice, headquartered on the Gold Coast with senior engineers across Canada and the EU. Engagements follow the sun, led end-to-end by a principal — no offshore handoff, no junior rotation, no reselling of someone else's reference architecture.

We are an AWS Partner Network member. Our Australian team holds every active AWS certification (AWS Golden Jacket), and includes AWS Community Builders and AWS User Group leaders. That's not a decoration — it means you get people who contribute to the ecosystem they deploy into.

Our Australian principals travel on-site when the engagement calls for it — Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra. Remote-first by default, on-site when the work, the compliance regime or the room demands it.

Every principal has shipped inside PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA environments — and also inside early-stage startups where velocity over complexity is the only way to survive. We know when to add the control, and when to remove it.

AI is not a service we sell. It is how we deliver the services we already sell. Every engagement runs through the same written review gate — AI drafts the IaC, the runbook, the log triage; a named senior engineer signs the diff; the gate is the artefact you keep. We will not bill you for an AI tier, and we will not hand you autonomous agents. Both are the wrong unit of trust.

THREE MODELS
ONE WORKS

Tedium and thinking aren't the same job. The split is the contract.

model A
Humans only
rejected · too expensive

A room of principals, billing hourly, typing production configs by hand. It works — at a price most teams can't sustain past the first quarter.

  • unit cost scales linearly with scope
  • slow to iterate across many environments
  • knowledge leaves with the consultant

model C · perun
Senior engineers, empowered by the right AI tools
selected · shipping

Every change is a written diff signed by a named senior engineer. AI drafts the IaC, combs the logs, and writes the first runbook — the human owns the call. The review gate is the durable artefact: the bit you keep, and the bit a regulator can read.

  • + principal judgement, amplified 3–5×
  • + auditable diffs, not chat transcripts
  • + you get the tools, not just the output

model B
AI Agents only
rejected · reckless

Autonomous agents let loose on your cloud. Fast on paper — until the first 3am incident nobody can explain and the audit trail is a chat transcript.

  • no accountable hand on the wheel
  • confidently wrong at production scale
  • no mentally-well engineer grants root

All three practices ship the same way: senior engineers sign every diff, AI drafts the rest, the review gate is written down.

S.01

AWS Cloud Architecture

landing zones · migrations · cost

Multi-account landing zones with guardrails, cost visibility, and compliance scaffolding. Re-platforming projects where getting the account structure right matters more than clever tooling.

Kubernetes Platforms

EKS · GitOps · day-two

Opinionated internal platforms on EKS: GitOps with Argo, progressive delivery, secrets done properly, autoscaling that doesn't flap. We build the platform team as we build the platform.

Straight answers about what Perun does, where it is based, and how it ships. Choosing a partner? Read our guide on how to choose an AWS consulting partner in Australia.

What does Perun Engineering do?
Perun Engineering is an Australian-founded AWS consulting practice. It runs three scoped practices — AWS Cloud Architecture, Kubernetes platforms on EKS, and applied AI engineering — delivered by senior engineers who sign every change, with AI tools drafting the infrastructure-as-code and runbooks under that review gate.
Where is Perun Engineering based?
Perun Engineering Pty Ltd is an Australian company headquartered on the Gold Coast, Queensland (ABN 23 675 106 546). It serves clients across Australia, Canada, and the European Union.
What AWS work does Perun specialise in?
Perun focuses on multi-account AWS landing zones with guardrails, cloud migrations and re-platforming, cost visibility (FinOps), and compliance scaffolding. The emphasis is on getting account structure, identity, and governance right rather than on bespoke tooling.
Does Perun build Kubernetes and EKS platforms?
Yes. Perun builds opinionated internal platforms on Amazon EKS: GitOps with Argo, progressive delivery, secrets handled properly, and autoscaling that stays stable. The engagement includes day-two operations and building the platform team alongside the platform.
Does Perun do applied AI and RAG engineering?
Yes. Perun's applied AI practice starts with evaluation harnesses before model work, builds retrieval (RAG) pipelines that are dependable where it matters, and targets predictable inference latency, helping teams move from demo to durable production systems.
Which regions does Perun Engineering serve?
Perun serves clients in Australia, Canada, and the European Union, with delivery led from its Gold Coast, Queensland headquarters.
How does Perun use AI in its delivery without losing accountability?
Every change is a written diff signed by a named senior engineer. AI drafts the infrastructure-as-code, combs the logs, and writes the first runbook, but the human owns the decision. The review gate — auditable diffs rather than chat transcripts — is the durable artefact a regulator can read.
Who founded Perun Engineering?
Perun Engineering was founded by Dmytro Sirant, Founder and Solutions Architect.
How do I get in touch with Perun Engineering?
Email [email protected] or use the enquiry form at https://perun.au. Engagements are scoped with written outcomes before work begins.

Scaling the monitoring estate used to mean weeks of config work. Now adding a cluster is a single config change. It finally keeps up with how fast we're moving.

Our engineers now have safe, auditable access to live infrastructure state. Working against production signals instead of documentation changes what's possible.
